Our Founding Story
Speak It Forward, Inc. (SiF) was co-founded by Gabriel Giron and Kirk Latimer in 2009. As innovators of spoken word edu-tainment, they intimately know the importance of diving deep into yourself, finding your voice, and learning how to share your story with power.
SiF began its work by conducting local youth workshops to help share their platform with marginalized populations. The founders recognized that communication skills were not just about public speaking, but about empowerment, self-discovery, and social change.
Growth and Expansion
Since its inception, Speak It Forward's programming and influence has not only grown, but now provides inspirational and educational curriculum and opportunities for people across the country. What started as local youth workshops has evolved into a comprehensive communication training organization.
Our reach now extends from high school auditoriums to Fortune 500 companies, from National conferences to maximum security prisons. This diverse range of venues reflects our commitment to making communication skills accessible to all, regardless of background or circumstance.
